“Once a year, go someplace you’ve never been before” ~ Dalai Lama
We recently spent a fabulous Friday cruising Noosa River with Noosa River and Canal Cruises.
After a busy few months at the retreat we don’t often get opportunity to have a day out and explore the surrounding regions – especially Noosa being only a 35 – 40 minute drive! We researched many reviews for activities in the Noosa area on Trip Advisor and this one was at the top of the list. Their website explains everything you need to bring and do on the day! Bookings are essential.
Noosa put on a picture perfect day for our cruise! Definitely adding this to the “Itinerary Suggestions” for our guests.
What a fantastic day it was! So relaxing on the river with an informative and humorous commentary from Bill and with assistance from Sam the “deckie”, boating was never this good. The cruise was packed with plenty of interesting local Noosa information that we weren’t aware of.
You can also bring along your own lunch or pre-purchase catering that was waiting on the boat when you arrive, you can even BYO drinks. There were a few people on the cruise who pre-ordered and this looked delicious too. The cruise travels at the perfect pace for you to enjoy a glass of wine, beer or as we did a couple of Monteith’s Crushed Pear ciders while relaxing and cruising the Noosa River.
We opted to try out some delicious fish and chips from the Red Emperor on Gympie Terrace. The young lady who served us was very pleasant and ensured our lunch was prepared as requested! Highly recommend checking this out if you are looking for some fish and chips on the beach or to take on the cruise with you.
Other nearby places we have also visited in Noosaville and recommend are Lazy River and Whisky Boy. Both places are licensed and offer fantastic meals that are well priced in a perfect setting close to the Noosa River.
With a well priced tariff and plenty to see on the cruise, it is the perfect choice the whole family can enjoy.
If you do have the opportunity and planning a stay at Melawondi Spring Retreat we definitely recommend adding this cruise to your itinerary or lunch on Gympie Terrace or a swim at Noosa River – you won’t be disappointed!
